A visitation for James “Jim” Robert Forrester, 43, a Fells Point musician and body piercing artist who died Monday, will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at Lilly & Zeiler Funeral Home, 1901 Eastern Ave. Interment will be private.

Mr. Forrester, a body piercer at the Baltimore Tattoo Museum, was shot outside the shop Monday evening while outside making a phone call, according to Baltimore police. He died at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

A resident of Ranson, W.Va., he was a bassist and performed with the bands Foghound and Serpents of Secrecy. Chris Keaton, a longtime friend and owner of the Fells Point museum and shop, said Mr. Forrester previously worked in construction.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Forrester; parents, Robert H. Forrester Jr. and Sally Mae Forrester; and other relatives and friends, according to an obituary posted by the funeral home.
