Just as big an attraction as the art is the museum's restaurant, Gertrude's, which run by Chef John Shields. The house specialty is crab cakes, but you can find a variety of affordable entrees for lunch and dinner. In 2006, a grant allowed the Walters and Baltimore Museum of Art to make their admission free. That move sparked the creation of Free Fall Baltimore, a series of no-charge performances held around the city.
