Patricia D. Lindamood, a retired medical secretary and volunteer, died from pneumonia Oct. 29 at Franklin Square Medical Center. The longtime Towson resident was 84.
Patricia Doerer was born in Lancaster, Pa., and raised on Summerfield Avenue in Northeast Baltimore. She was a 1943 graduate of Eastern High School and Strayer's Business College.
Mrs. Lindamood worked for more than 25 years for a Towson vascular surgeon before retiring in 2003 .
She was an avid gardener and had been a longtime volunteer with the Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart on West Joppa Road.
Mrs. Lindamood, who was an alto and enjoyed singing, also enjoyed reading.
Her husband of 49 years, Roger Lewis Lindamood, a World War II veteran and postal worker, died in 1993.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Arlington National Cemetery. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Baltimore and Ware avenues in Towson, where a memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Surviving are a daughter, Paula Vaughn Jordan of Centreville; a brother, Richard C. Doerer of Satellite Beach, Fla.; five sisters, Janet Carr of Bel Air, Marie Friedman and Priscilla Lanahan, both of Towson, Shirley Moxley of Williston, Fla., and Constance Sanders of Surprise, Ariz.; and 42 nieces and nephews.
