Redfield: Linda Carol Stephens, 66, of Redfield died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.
Her funeral will be Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Redfield. The Rev. Stephen Perry will officiate.
After the services, Linda will be cremated and her ashes will be buried in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield, thelenfuneralhome.com.
Linda was born Dec. 9, 1944, in Redfield to Ben and Dorothy (Simons) Radcliffe. She attended Tulare school and graduated from Huron High School. She attended Dakota Wesleyan College before she married Floyd Ole Stephens in Pipestone, Minn. They lived in Hitchcock for a short time, before moving to Redfield. Linda worked at South Dakota Developmental Center-Redfield for 34 years before retiring.
She enjoyed reading, sewing and knitting and especially spending time with her grandchildren, her sisters and of course her cat, Sparkles.
Linda is survived by her husband, Floyd, of Redfield; her son, Mark (Tracy) Stephens, of Brandon, and their daughters, Malle and Kylie; her daughter, Kari Peterman, of Frankfort, and her children: Amber (Josh Root) and their daughter, Kinley, Ryan and Lane Peterman. She is also survived by her father, Ben (Del) Radcliffe, of Huron; her sisters: Dona (Wayne) Hansen of Mount Vernon; and Barb (Roy Carlson) Blaedorn of Huron.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy.
