U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner has some explaining to do.

Weiner says he is a victim of Twitter hacking, but doesn't agree. The website reported early Saturday that a vulgar picture was sent from Weiner's personal twitter account Friday, a photo of a man waist down wearing bulging gray underwear. The message went to a gorgeous college coed and was seen by the NY politician's Twitter followers.

The woman, who is a journalism student in the Seattle area, has since deleted her Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Immediately following the incident, the married New York politician tweeted "Tivo shot. FB hacked. Is my blender gonna attack me next?"

Senator Charles Schumer came to Weiner's defense Monday, brushing off the news. "I would be virtually certain that he would have nothing to do with this," said Senator Schumer at a press conference.

"I think it's a prank," said a Weiner supporter, who did not want to be identified. Weiner is 46 and married to Huma Abedin, an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Weiner represents New York's 9th District, which covers parts of Queens and Brooklyn. He ran for the democratic nomination for Mayor of New York in 2005 and failed, but is widely considered a top contender to succeed New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg in the 2013 race.
