President Obama went to a little town in Kansas and held a political event, which we'll call "Occupy Osawatomie."

Why Osawatomie? Theodore Roosevelt delivered a speech there in 1910 and President Obama likes to identify with Teddy when he is not identifying with Ronald Reagan, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman and Abraham Lincoln.

In 1910, Roosevelt spoke of an income tax on big fortunes as did President Obama in Osawatomie last week. Not to be outdone, Newt Gingrich is looking for a town where Warren G. Harding once spoke.

Don't Kansans have a sense of humor? If there was a sign that said, "I knew Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt was a friend of mine and you're no Teddy Roosevelt," I didn't see it.
