A high school senior in Texas conducting a social experiment meant to reportedly free him (and the rest of his classmates) from their final exam won't get them out of taking the test after all.
According to ABC News, Round Rock High School student Andrew Muennink made a deal with his teacher, Cindy House, to skip the final -- if he could get 15,000 retweets on Twitter.
The deal, said to be struck Wednesday, was to give Muennink until May 23 at 12 p.m. to meet the 15,000 retweet quota. Otherwise, he and all 30 of his classmates would've had to take the final exam.
Several photos have been shared through Muennink's Twitter account apparently showing similar deals at other schools between students and teachers.
Friday afternoon a spokesperson for Round Rock issued a statement saying, "The art students at Round Rock High School will be taking their final exams at the end of this month."
There's no word on how close Muennink came to reaching the goal before the school administrators had the final say on the final exam.
