A Malaysia Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur went missing Thursday over Ukraine near the Russian border, according to news reports. The Boeing 777 was carrying 295 people -- 280 passengers and 15 crew. The area where the plane went down is the same region where Ukrainian forces are battling pro-Russian separatists.
