The Huffington Post reported that a PPP poll puts O'Malley at 5 percent support among Democrats in a Clinton-less, Biden-less race. That's far behind the 21 percent for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and 16 percent for Massachusetts Sen.-elect Elizabeth Warren and modestly trailing Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick's 8 percent but ahead of Virginia Sen. Mark Warner's 3 percent and Schweitzer's 2 percent.
With Clinton and Biden in the race, O'Malley's support drops to 2 percent. Clinton grabs a commanding 61 percent while Biden trails with 12 percent. Like O'Malley, every other candidate is down in single digits: Cuomo, 5 percent; Warren, 4 percent and 1 percent each for the trio of Patrick, Warner and Schweitzer.
Take it for what it's worth three years and a month before the 2016 Iowa caucuses.
