President Barack Obama will visit Prince George's County as early as next week to expand on the economic themes he is expected to raise in Tuesday's State of the Union, the White House said Saturday.
The administration announced the trip -- along with visits to Pittsburgh, Milwaukee and Nashville -- in an e-mail sent to supporters. The president frequently travels across the country to provide additional details on ideas sounded in the annual address.
Obama will deliver his sixth State of the Union address at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
"In this year of action, the president will seek out as many opportunities as possible to work with Congress in a bipartisan way," the email read. "But when American jobs and livelihoods depend on getting something done, he will not wait for Congress."Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
