McConkey says he has no plans to resign

Del. Tony McConkey, who was reprimanded by the House of Delegates Tuesday on conflict-of-interest charges, says that he has no plans to resign as a result of the disciplinary action.

There have been rumors swirling in Annapolis that McConkey, an Anne Arundel County Republican, has come under pressure from GOP leaders to quit. But in a brief conversation Wednesday morning, McConkey denied those reports.

"Everybody has been very supportive," he said.
