Arrests in Baltimore for illegal guns often lead to dropped charges or little jail time

Hogan to announce running mate

Republican gubernatorial candidate Larry Hogan will announce his running mate at a rally near Annapolis Wednesday night, his campaign said.

Hogan, a former appointments secretary to Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., became a late entry into the governor's race last week -- a long-expected campaign kickoff that was delayed by a snowstorm. He joined a field that also includes Harford County Executive David R. Craig, Del. Ron George of Anne Arundel County and Charles County business executive Charles Lollar.

Of Hogan's rivals, only Craig has named a running mate, Del. Jeannie Haddaway of the Middle Shore. Hogan will introduce his lieutenant governor candidate at Mike's Crab House in Riva.
