Gansler was the first admonish the judge for the remark, which sparked widespread controversy and complaints.
In his new 30-second advertisement, Gansler says he "took that judge on" and goes on to tout other accomplishments during his time as state's attorney. Gansler created a separate docket for judges to hear domestic violence cases.
Gansler concludes the ad, his second released so far, by calling himself "a fighter," a theme he has repeated in recent weeks.
The spot will air in Baltimore and Washington television markets, Gansler's campaign said.
Gansler faces Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Del. Heather Mizeur in the June 24 primary election.
