Oakland Mills — No. 2 seed (2A South, Section I)

Record: 13-3 county, 17-5 overall

Best-case: One of the hottest teams in the county picks up where it left off in the regular season, where it won its final eight county games. Oakland Mills leans heavily on their senior class, as Mister Hairston, Robert Burgess and Harrison Greggs step up their play on both ends of the court. The Scorpions run through the region with wins over Glenelg, River Hill and Thomas Stone and then hold off Oakdale in the state semifinals. In the final, Daeshawn Eaton has a career game to clinch Player of the Year and lead his team to its first state title since 2015 and third overall.
