Speaking of the Howard County Food Bank, I happened to ride past the food bank last month and could not believe the line of people who were there to get food for their families.
If you are looking for a charitable organization to support on a regular basis, it doesn't take much effort to buy a few extra cans of vegetables or boxes of macaroni and cheese or cereal that you can donate to the Food Bank.
It was truly a shock to me that there are so many people in need who live in such a wealthy county as Howard County.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
