The next St. Andrew's Feast will be held on Nov. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. The menu will be Mexican. The dinner will be donated by Smokin' Hot Bar and Grille in the Inwood Shopping Center in Glenwood.
Proceeds from the dinner will go toward the church's outreach with the El Hogar Ministries in Honduras, which provides a home and education for poor children. St. Michael's Catholic Church will hold its Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be many crafts for sale as well as a white elephant room, a children's room and pictures with Santa. The University of Maryland and Delaware Cooperative Extension will conduct Annie's Project this winter. Annie's Project focuses on aspects of farm management and is designed to empower women in farm decision making and to build local networks throughout the state.
Topics for the sessions will cover production, marketing, financial, legal risk and human resources. The closest location to our neighborhood is the Howard County Extension Office in Ellicott City. Classes will begin in January. The cost of the course including meals and materials is $75.
