Mark your calendars for the Fourth of July parade and festival in downtown Lisbon. The parade is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will feature antique vehicles. The festival is from 1 to 7 p.m.
There will be live music, face-painting, a dunking booth, lots of great food and old fashioned family fun. Proceeds will go to benefit the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company.

St. Michael's Catholic Church will hold its vacation Bible school from Aug. 5 to 9. This year's theme is "Kingdom Rock." Everyone is invited to attend, ages 3 and up. The cost is $35. For more information or to register, call 301-672-8106.
St. Michael's will hold its monthly Cornerstone Breakfast on June 23 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, baked apples, pancakes, danish, breakfast breads and beverages.
Lisbon United Methodist Church is requesting volunteers to assist in moving families. To volunteer your time and truck, email email@example.com. The church is also requesting donations of furniture for families moving into new housing. The furniture must be in good condition and can be delivered. Lisbon United Methodist will hold its vacation Bible school from June 24 to 28 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. The theme is "Everywhere Fun Fair." For more information, go to http://www.lisbonumc.org.
Last but not least, the Lisbon United Methodist is collecting monetary donations for disaster relief for those communities destroyed from the recent tornadoes. One hundred percent of your donation to UMCOR goes to support these relief efforts.
Make your check payable to UMCOR, and enter #901670, which is the code for US Disaster Relief, in the memo section of your check. Online donations can be made by accessing UMCOR.org, clicking Donate, and then United Disaster Relief. If you would like to mail or take your check to the church, it is in the heart of Lisbon, next to Lisbon Elementary School.
St. Andrew's Community Feast will be held on June 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. The menu will be Italian. As usual, the feast is being donated by Smokin' Hot Catering. The cost is $9 per person or $30 for a family.
