The Glenelg United Methodist Church will hold a community concert on March 16 at 4 p.m.
This concert will feature pianists, Stephanie Kai-Win and Saar Ahuvia. The program will include music and readings from letters from Beethoven.
The church will also open the food pantry on March 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. Donations are always needed to provide for our neighbors who have fallen on hard times. The food pantry really needs canned tuna and chicken.
Many thanks go to Boy Scout Troop 793 for its monetary contribution of $1,578. The Scouts raised their money by conducting a cake auction.
Congratulations go to Howard County Executive Ken Ulman, who recently was named a Top 20 Doer, Dreamer and Driver by Government Technology magazine.
Ulman was chosen for his leadership on the development and construction of the Inter-County Broadband Network (ICBN) in Maryland. The awardees are being recognized in the magazine's March issue.
This is another reason why Howard County is considered one of the top places to live in the United States.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
