Special mass for grandparents at St. Anthony [West Friendship]

It's a celebration of grandparents and grandchildren at the Shrine of St. Anthony on July 26 at noon. On this day, the feast day of St. Anne and St. Joachim, a mass celebrating all grandparents, living and deceased is planned, followed by lunch.

Grandparents are invited and so are their grandchildren. No fees, but an alert to the office is requested for those folks who plan on attending the cookout. The Shrine of St. Anthony is at 12290 Folly Quarter Road. Call the office at 410-531-2800 to reserve a spot for the cookout.

Don't forget. The Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts' big splashy summer production of "The Addams Family" is set for July 24-27 at Glenelg High School Auditorium. Morticia, Gomez, Lurch and the gang along with musical comedy unmatched. Just a reminder — kids ages 2-5 are invited to join in free early enrichment sessions at Glenelg Country School. "Take Me Out to the Ocean" is scheduled for July 29, 10-11 a.m. The morning activity includes exposure to new stories, language and technology, games and friends. No cooking for the community on July 24 ,6-8 p.m., when the monthly St. Andrew's dinner will be cooked up by the folks at Smokin' Hot Grille. Dine in or carry out. Cost is $9 per person or $30 per family , no matter how many folks make up the family unit. Proceeds from the July dinner benefit a reading camp for at-risk children in Baltimore City. On Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Becky Moy and all the gang at Greenbridge Pottery are celebrating 30 years of country living at the Greenbridge Pottery, 5159 Greenbridge Road in Dayton. The community is invited to come out and enjoy food and music throughout the day. Becky is thrilled to show off the gorgeous new antique Chinese shelving.
