Apple pie, apple cake, apple dumplings, applesauce — if it's made out of apples, then Marriotts Ridge High School Music Foundation probably offers it through the organization's annual Fall Apple and Bake Sale. All products come from Baugher's Orchards, Farms and Bakery in Westminster.
The first apple sale will end on Friday, Sept. 20, at 5 p.m., and pickup will take place at the school on Sept. 26, 3 to 5 p.m. If you don't make the deadline, don't worry: The sales will continue monthly through the end of the year.
To place an order online, go to http://www.mrhsmusic.net/Fundraising/fall-apple-and-bake-sale. Proceeds will support Marriotts Ridge music students. Email email@example.com with any questions.
Have you ever watched a TV program like "Antiques Roadshow" and dreamed of hitting the jackpot with your family's Civil War artifacts or vintage cherry buffet? If so, take note of the Howard County Historical Society's second annual Antiques Appraisal Fair on Oct. 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Kittleman Room at Howard Community College. The address is Duncan Hall, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway, in Columbia; parking is free.
John and Shelley Harris, of Caplan's Auction Co., will perform the appraisals. Additionally, Johanson Rare Books of Baltimore will conduct a book sale during the fair, and the Historical Society will sell prints and note cards from its Don Reichle Collection.
Tickets cost $8 for Historical Society members and $12 for nonmembers, and each is valid for two appraisals. Additional appraisals cost $5 apiece. Go to hchsmd.org to purchase tickets or learn more.
It's back! The community feast at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church will return on Sept. 26, after a summer hiatus. Stop by between 6 and 8 p.m. for a delicious Italian meal, complete with beverages and desserts. Guests may sit down to enjoy the meal with others or take their food to go.
The cost is $9 per person or $30 maximum per family; kids 5 and under dine for free. This month's proceeds will help purchase supplies for a health clinic that the St. Andrews' community helped build in Dekapanka, India.

Glenelg United Methodist Church Preschool would like to remind the community that it is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 13900 Burntwoods Road, in Glenelg.
All current and former students, staff and families are invited to attend. Worship will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will include a blessing of the preschool staff; a celebratory Open House will follow, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests will have an opportunity to tour the facility, meet the new director, reunite with former classmates and teachers, and enjoy some delicious refreshments.
For more information about the event, email Dana Donohue, chairperson of the preschool board, at email@example.com.
In other news from Glenelg United Methodist Church, the food pantry has now served the community for nearly two years. Over that time, it has seen an increase in patronage, and representatives have been grateful for the generosity and responsiveness of the community.
Recently, the pantry began partnering with the Maryland Food Bank and now purchases most of its food items there, so pantry needs have changed. Representatives would like to request mainly monetary donations from the community, as well as toiletry items, which are not available through the Maryland Food Bank.
If you would like to make a donation or have questions, call the church office at 410-489-7260, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
