It's music with dessert at Reservoir High [Fulton/Highland]

The music department at Reservoir High School is pleased to present its 12th annual Pops Concert and Dessert on Feb. 1 starting with dessert at 6:30 p.m. in the school's atrium.

The Pops Concert will begin around 8 p.m. Tickets for both events are $8 in advance. If you want to skip the concert (and I hope you don't), that ticket is $3, but must still be purchased in advance.

Concert-only tickets are $5. You can go to the RHS Music Booster's website, rhsmusic.wikispaces.com, for more information and for the sign-up form.

The Reservoir High School Girls Basketball Team beat the Hammond High girls team in a 47-28 win on January 13.

Zelor Massaquoi extended her "double-double" streak to 7 games with an impressive 19 points and 10 rebounds. Keri Rager threw in 6 points and had 4 steals. Haley Tiller added 10 points for the night. Tara Thompson scored 4 points and Alexis Bartley, Daynasha Turner and Amani Ball all scored 2 points each. Blair Bonner had 2 points along with 5 big blocks.

The JV girls team also came away with a 37-27 win against the Hammond JV team. Kayla Wilson and Amaka Chukwujekw scored 15 points each. Cassidy Pham scored 3 points and Greta Schuster and Meghna Sreevnias scored 2 points each.

The Reservoir High School Improvisation Club recently participated in the Howard County Improv Olympics and took home a couple of awards.

The team placed first in the Duet/Trio Scene category and came in third in the "Change It" Scene category. Representing the club at this event were Bob Morgan, Hannah Howard, Jaylyn Hess, Aaron Spangler, Nick Carson and Nick Rainwater. Congratulations to these students and their sponsor, Jessica Binder.
