A restoration project to stop erosion of a stream next to Stone Trail Court, near Glen Hannah Drive, Mary Lee Lane and Martown Road in Laurel, will begin Monday, Oct. 7, according to Howard County government officials.
The repairs will include grading and stabilization of the stream bank, using stone and vegetative treatments and new plantings.
Cars leaving Hammond elementary and middle schools will be directed to use one lane instead of the usual two due to a single lane closure. Part of the sidewalk near the project will also be closed to pedestrians.
The project is scheduled to be finished by early August 2014.
