The last day of school in Prince George's County will be Friday, June 13. Prince George's County Public Schools announced Thursday that Maryland State Superintendent Lillian Lowery had approved a modified, two-day waiver for inclement weather days. Originally, the school system applied for a four-day waiver.

County schools closed eight times to students because of weather this winter; the school system had built in four inclement weather days into the calendar.

The decision on the last day of school will not impact spring break, which will still run from Monday, April 14 through Monday, April 21.

Thursday, June 12 will be a full day of instruction. Friday, June 13 will be a half-day.

The last day for teachers will be announced at a later time.
