Laurel police to hold sobriety checkpoint Friday night

The Laurel Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the 100 block of northbound Route 1from Friday, June 6 at 11 p.m. to Saturday, June 7 at 3 a.m.

According to city officials, the periodic sobriety checkpoints are held to raise public awareness and inform citizens about the efforts that are being used to identify and apprehend impaired drivers.
