Implement green solutions and receive county rebates [South Laurel/Montpelier]
The new Rain Check Rebates program for Prince George's County residents is being rolled out this fall. Homeowners are allowed to apply for cash rebates for installing stormwater management practices on their property. Suggested practices include installing rain barrels under downspouts, planting trees, using permeable pavers or pavement and setting up a rain garden. The Department of Environmental Resources will be holding a briefing on the program for residents of our community on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center. Staff will explain the various options and eligibility requirements for the rebate. Sounds like a good opportunity for us to help our local environment and earn a rebate at the same time!
