Congratulations are in order for Cpl Kenneth Hibbert, Prince George’s County Police Department District VI, who was recently honored with the “Top Cops Award” by the National Association of Police Organizations. Hibbert was recognized for his “outstanding achievement in law enforcement.” He has been with the department for 11 years and for nine of those years, has served as our Community Oriented Police Services (COPS) representative.
Hibbert coordinates the District VI Explorers Program and Junior Investigators Program, mentors teens and organizes summer camps for youth. Many of our South Laurel/Montpelier residents know Hibbert for his involvement in local activities and for the informative Coffee for Seniors monthly programs at the Laurel/Beltsville Senior Activity Center. Kudos to him for his well deserved award and his many services to our community!
