With that being said, come celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Quiet Waters Park, located at 600 Quiet Waters Park Road, in Annapolis. Entry to the park is free all day and this year's event will focus on education and participation. Information as well as displays will be at the Blue Heron Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Anne Arundel Bird Club, South River Federation, Oyster Recovery Partnership, Anne Arundel County Master Gardeners and the Anne Arundel Sierra Club.
Refreshments will be provided by Pit Boys at the Visitor Center Café and also at the Park Visitor Center there will be a "hands on" nature exhibit hosted by the Friends of Quiet Waters Park. Come out and enjoy a day exploring nature. For more information, contact Park Ranger Dave DeVault at 410-222-1777 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
