Going 'green' should be a year-round goal [Russett]
Earth Day may be in April, but you can get a jump on being "green" by attending the Chesapeake Ecology Center's annual celebration and native plant sale fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Adams Academy at Adams Park, 245 Clay St., in Annapolis. This is a free event with refreshments and tours of the gardens. The Chesapeake Ecology Center works with community groups, its members and other organizations to provide environmental information on conservative landscaping, rain gardens and other eco-friendly projects. If you need more information, or if you want to volunteer at any of the events, please contact Zora Lathan at email@example.com or go to chesapeakeecologycenter.org.
