The second annual Prince George's County Business Conference and Expo is set for Thursday, Nov. 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Maryland College Park's Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center, 8082 Baltimore Ave., in College Park. Hosted by the Prince George's County Supplier Development Division, the event is for corporate, local, small, minority, disadvantaged and veteran-owned businesses.
"Opportunities Knocking at Your Door" is the theme of the expo, which is being held to help company owners learn to access capital, grow their businesses, build prime contractor/subcontractor relationships and learn about future business opportunities.
Morning breakout panels cover regional procurement opportunities, accessing capital and resources, legislative updates, global views and a "Meet the Primes" forum. The afternoon session includes the Business 2 Business Matchmaking Exchange, exhibitors gallery and networking sessions. The luncheon program is headlined by Prince George's County Executive Rushern Baker III and special speaker Gabrielle Williams, a teenage entrepreneur and author of Amazon bestseller "The Making of a Young Entrepreneur."
