Laurel Boy Scout reports from Jamboree 2013

Laurel Boy Scout Riley Horn, 17, is spending 10 days at the Boy Scouts of America's National Scout Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in the New River Gorge in West Virginia.

This is Riley's second Jamboree, and for the second time he is registered as a Hometown News Correspondent, posting blogs and photos several times a day on his Tumblr site

From July 14 to 24, Scouts from across the country are camping at this year's Jamboree and experiencing outdoor adventures such as white water rafting, mountain biking and rock climbing, all part of the Summit Bechtel Reserve.

During Jamboree, which is held every four years, Scouts also work on merit badge requirements and have a chance to meet Scouts from other troops.

A Laurel High student, Riley is a Life Scout in Laurel Troop 1250, and is assigned to Troop C331 at the Jamboree.
