Prince George's police investigate fatal crash Friday in Laurel

Prince George’s County Police are investigating the death of a 39-year-old Laurel woman Friday night when her SUV veered into oncoming traffic on Montpelier Drive, striking another SUV and then a tree.

Police responded to the collision around 5:45 p.m. in the 9300 block of Montpelier Drive and found Sarah Elizabeth Hensley with critical injuries. Hensley was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the other SUB was not injured.

Hensley was driving westbound on the roadway and crossed the centerline for unknown reasons, police said. The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit’s investigation is ongoing.
