Emancipation Community Park fun day April 18

City officials are hosting Community Fun Day at Emancipation Community Park tonight, Thursday, April 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. The evening includes field games, arts and crafts, costumed characters and free refreshments, as supplies last.

A fire March 11 destroyed the park's playground equipment, one of two playground fires last month that fire investigators said were related. A Community Fun Day at Emancipation Community Park scheduled for March 26 was canceled because of snow.

For information, call Laurel public information officer Pete Piringer at 301-725-5300, Ext. 2208.
