Laurel college student awarded fellowship; students earn dean's list recognition

Brent Ault, of Laurel, was awarded a James Madison Fellowship by the James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation of Alexandria, Va., to support further study of American history. The fellowship will fund up to $24,000 of Ault's course of study toward a master's in a program that must include a concentration of courses on the history and principles of the Constitution. A teacher at Marriotts Ridge High School, in Marriottsville, Ault is among 56 fellowship recipients.

Alexander Pendleton, of Laurel, was named to the honor roll for the spring semester in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Kansas, in Lawrence.

Amanda Palmer, of Laurel, was named to first honors on the dean's list for the spring semester at Clark University, in Worcester, Mass.

Lisa Frank, Janai Prophet and Katelyn Ziegler-Hall, all from Laurel, were named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Loyola University Maryland, in Baltimore.

Kelsey Ahlquist and Christopher Street, both of Laurel, graduated from Stevenson University in Owings Mills.

Michael Tait, of Laurel, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at the University of Rhode Island, in Kingston.

Philip Dakum, a junior digital arts major from Laurel, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at The College of New Jersey, in Ewing.

Laurel area residents Feyisayo Adebiyi, Taylor Bevan, Andrew Bushong, Ryan Dooley, Lauren Feighner, Molly Gigioli, Kyle Hamby, Eric Kasprzyk, Shannon Sigamoni, Wendy Usher, Lauren Westermeyer and Stephanie Zaycer were named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Salisbury University.
