Laurel Fort Meade Road, 3400 block, Maryland City Plaza, 1:47 a.m. May 21. Attempted armed robbery of man sitting in parking lot with friends, who fought with robber and took his gun. Victim had minor injury, declined medical treatment.

Howard County

Canterbury Riding, 9000 block, 11:47 p.m. May 11. Victim standing in front of residence at mailbox when armed man approached and demanded cash. Victim complied and suspect fled.
