Students from Laurel earn degrees, dean's list

The following Laurel area residents graduated from Salisbury University: Brent Greer, Bachelor of Arts in political science; and Lauren Westermeyer, Bachelor of Arts in psychology.

Dylan Haversack, of Laurel, earned Faculty Honors for fall 2013 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, awarded to undergraduate students who have a 4.0 academic average for the semester.

Joseph Usher, a sophomore in marketing from Laurel, was named to the dean's list for fall semester at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I.

Philip Dakum, a junior digital arts major from Laurel, was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at The College of New Jersey, in Ewing, N.J.

VijayAdipudi, of Laurel, who is studying business administration, was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.

Colleen Willis, of Laurel, was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Wells College, in Aurora, N.Y.

The following Laurel students were inducted into the Bowie State University chapter of the Golden Key International Honors Society, recognizing outstanding academic achievement: Bria Ellis, a junior majoring in communications; and Florence Alli, a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in nursing.

Five students from Laurel were named to the dean's list for the fall semester at McDaniel College, in Westminster: Kristopher Baptiste, honors; Shannon Nolte, high honors; Dasia Barnett, high honors; Brittney Davis, honors; and Samuel Whitfield, high honors.
