Bryonna Parker, of Laurel, who is studying criminal justice at Stevenson University, volunteered with the United Way's Project Homeless Connect on Sept. 19 at the Baltimore Connection Center-Inner Harbor.

More than 2,200 homeless individuals attended the event to access services such as housing assistance, medical/dental care, photo identification, haircuts, groceries, government benefits and legal aid.
