Man fires store security guard's handgun in Weis during struggle

A man approached by a store security guard because he was allegedly shoplifting in the Corridor Marketplace Weis store took the security guard's handgun and fired shots in the store before fleeing Sunday night with the gun, Anne Arundel County police reported.

Police said there were no injuries and that the store security guard is licensed to carry a firearm. Police said they are looking for a black male, about 5 feet 10, wearing a red shirt, dark pants and a jacket.
