A 21-year-old Laurel man convicted in a stabbing death was sentenced to seven years in prison Thursday in Howard County Circuit Court, according to State's Attorney spokesman Wayne Kirwan.
Robert Timothy Joseph Lee Tasker will serve the sentence for the August 2012 death Robert Lynn Foster, 46, outside of Midway mobile home park in the 1000 block of North 2nd street.
According to Kirwan, Judge William V. Tucker, who called Foster's death "senseless," sentenced Tasker to a 10-year prison term, plus six years for weapon charges -- suspending all but seven years.
After Tasker's release, he will be placed on five years' supervised probation and must perform 150 hours of community service.
On Aug. 23, 2012, police responded to the mobile home and found Foster lying near the entrance with multiple stab wounds.
Both Tasker and Foster were involved in argument before the stabbing.
