Congratulations to the Hammond High School EconChallenge Team. It is the Maryland state champion and placed 20th in the nation out of 480 schools.
The team consists of Emily Wible, MonYi Lwin, Hemali Rami and Mariah Sandy. Hammond teacher Jody Zepp was their coach during independent study in their advanced placement government class. Great job!
The Savage Historical Society will meet May 20, at 7 p.m., at the F&M Center. The topic of the month is "Remembrances: What the 4th of July was like in Savage." The meeting is open to all.

Juniors and seniors from Reservoir High School had their art displayed in the Howard County School System Portfolio Preparation and Senior Art Show. The art was on display at the Board of Education.
The juniors who participated were Connor Taylor, Hunter Bailey and Rosemary Rekus. The seniors were Stephanie Armstrong, Gerard Vanloo, Elaina Quinn, Ronald Orozco, Allie Gowins, Jackie Cooper, Adam Gartrell and Jena Rutten. Great job representing our area.

This is a reminder that the Reservoir Summer Camps discount enrollment ends on Wednesday, May 15. Children in grades two through nine can be registered for $140 a week. After May 15, its $155.
