My condolences to the family of Agnes Faye Watts Furr, who passed away recently at the age of 79. She was the daughter of Sam and Elsie Watts, who started Sam and Elsie's Restaurant along Route 1. It has become a landmark in our community.
Faye, as most called her, bought the restaurant from her parents and ran it for many years. In 2010 she sold it so she could enjoy her retirement. She was survived by three children, Vicky, Tommy and Stevie. Her son Harvey predeceased her.
