MusicBack to School

One of the assets we have in this area is Carroll Baldwin Hall, built from stones from the nearby Patuxent River in the early 1920's. Carroll Baldwin was the president of a manufacturing company in the area and it was built to be used as a community center.

The hall is in a trust which is working on restoring it to keep as a foundation for the community. Last year, the trust worked on the lower level and this year would like to redo the steps, ramps and railings on the outside of the building.

In order to raise the money, the trust will hold be holding the Savage 7K Run and One-Mile Historical Walk on Sept. 22. The run starts at 8:30 a.m. at the hall. It will go through Savage Park and the neighborhood. The historical walk will also start at 8:30 a.m. and is a guided tour of historic Savage.
