Good luck to Reservoir High School's Best Buddies Club. Not only were they selected as January's school club of the month, but they have been nominated as the Maryland High School Chapter of the Year!

Congratulations not only on the nomination but for running such a positive and supportive program. Best Buddies is an international program that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

If you have not heard, graduation dates have been announced for the high schools. Atholton graduates on May 24 at 4 p.m., Reservoir on May 28 at noon and Hammond will be May 30 at noon.

Congratulations to all the seniors graduating this year. This also means prom season is right around the corner. The high schools are looking for sponsors and support for the after-prom events, so contact the school of your choice and see how you can help keep our kids safe.

Sign up to run the seventh annual Musical Madness 5K and Kids Fun Run and support the Reservoir High School music program. The run will be on May 18 at the Maple Lawn Town Center. To register, go to musicalmadness.wikispaces.com.

The North Laurel 50+ Center is hosting Spring into Arts, a free program starting at 10 a.m. and a Repurposed Art Workshop on Friday, April 26, for $6 starting at 11 a.m. Call the center for more information or to register at 410-313-0380.

The Savage Community Association will host a Spring Plant Sale on May 4, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Carroll Baldwin Memorial Hall. The hall is at 9035 Baltimore St.
