North Laurel store robbed, employee shot with stun gun [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. The Howard County Times includes descriptions of perpetrators only when the description makes identification possible.

North Second Street, 10000 block, 6 p.m. Nov. 21. Employee just closed Maryland Hydroponics store when he was approached by two unknown people. Employee opened up store for two to shop. After placing merchandise on counter, one person shocked employee with stun gun. Second grabbed box of merchandise. Both fled.

Savage/North Laurel

Scaggsville Road, 10700 block, 6:38 p.m. Nov. 22. Late reported incident. Homeowner observed unknown person running from residence while pulling into driveway. Homeowner chased person on foot. Jewelry box discarded during chase. As person approached silver minivan, he stopped, faced homeowner and implied he had weapon. Homeowner stopped and person fled in vehicle. Later determined entry made to residence by breaking side door. Two bedrooms rummaged through.

Livery Lane, 9200 block, 11:15 p.m. Nov. 21. Victim was walking when approached from behind by three people. One wrapped his arm around victim's neck and put him in headlock. Other two demanded money and went through pockets. Cellphone and keys stolen from victim.
