Reservoir High dancers swing at state showcase [North Laurel/Savage]

The Reservoir High School Dance Company performed at the 25th annual Maryland Public High School Dance Showcase Concert. Only 17 schools in the state were invited to perform.

The company performed "Rosie the Riveter," paying tribute to all the women who stepped up to help during World War II. Congratulations to Keedra Brown and her company — Angelika Albertorio, Lauren Borchers, McKenzie Bradford, Alyssa Bright, Gabby Dyson, Jasmine Glaze, Miriam Hermina, Sydney Macon, Catherine Malcolm, Lindsay Myers, Alexis Sample, Sarah Sandler, Meghan Smith and Kia Tyson.

Patuxent Valley Middle School will once again hold its annual International Night on April 3. The school celebrates its diverse culture by holding an event where students perform traditional songs or dances and families can introduce foods from their homeland.

This is the 25th anniversary of the opening of Bollman Bridge. To celebrate, the PTA is planning some beautification projects. Happy Birthday, Bollman Bridge.

Have you signed up yet for the 50+ Center's two continuing exercise programs at the North Laurel Community Center? On Wednesdays, there is Tap Aerobics at 10 a.m. This is a low impact aerobic workout. Gentle Yoga is offered on Mondays at 11 a.m. and Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The instructor will modify the exercises based on fitness level and health issues.
