Police said the incident occurred at approximately 10:31 p.m., when Emily Rose Day, 22, of Laurel, was on a 2004 Honda CRF 70 dirt bike driving south on Knights Bridge Road near Stebbing Way.
Tae Ok Daily, 58, of Laurel, was driving north on Knights Bridge Road in a 2002 Mitzubushi Lancer, and was making a left turn onto Stebbing Way when the collision occured, according to police.
Police said Daily never saw Day. The dirt bike is not equipped with lights and is not legal to operate on public highways, police said.
Day was transported by Maryland State Police Medevac to Shock Trauma, where she is listed in serious by stable condition, according to police. She was not wearing a helmet, police said.
Daily was not injured, according to police.
Police said the Traffic Enforcement Section is continuing to investigate the incident, and preliminary investigation reveals that operating an unregistered motor vehicle on a public highway, with no lights, as the primary cause of the collision.
