Vintage music and games are back in Ellicott City at The Archive

It took nine months to rebuild his collection, but Jason McMillan finally found enough records, classic video games and vintage electronics to stock his store after the flood that struck Ellicott City’s Main Street last summer.

He opened his store The Archive Music and Games in a larger location farther up the street in April.

“It was an uphill battle, literally,” McMillan said. “Reopening was a priority to me. I love being the record store on Main Street.”

The store buys and sells new and used rock, jazz and soul records — from artists like David Bowie and Smashing Pumpkins — in addition to retro turntables, cassette tapes and more.
