Dads will have two opportunities to treat their daughters to a special evening out in January.
On Jan. 11, the Gary J. Arthur Community Center in Cooksville will host the Snowflake Ball. This daddy-daughter dance is for children ages 4 to 12 and runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A DJ will provide music for dancing, and guests also will enjoy refreshments, games, crafts and an ice cream sundae bar. Tickets for one adult and one child cost $32 for members and $40 for nonmembers. Each additional daughter costs $16 for members and $20 for nonmembers. The snow date is Jan. 18. Gary J. The recently renovated Roger Carter Community Center in Ellicott City will hold a Daddy-Daughter Sweetheart Dance Jan. 25. The 4- to 6-year-old set will party from 4 to 6 p.m., then 7- to 11-year-olds will claim the dance floor from 7 to 9 p.m. The event also includes a DJ, crafts and an ice cream sundae bar, along with a souvenir photo.
