Baltimore-based Charm City Yoga expanded into Howard County this fall with a new studio in Kings Contrivance. With seven studios in the region, Charm City Yoga offers a “style of yoga for every person,” according to founder and instructor Kim Manfredi.
Particularly popular, according to Manfredi, are Charm City’s hot vinyasa sessions, geared toward those looking for a vigorous practice in a heated room. A beginner vinyasa class also is available for those wanting to try out the experience without the heated environment as well as those who are “new to movement and looking to learn the fundamentals of yoga while still being in a flowing environment,” says Manfredi.
Among other yoga styles, gentle and restorative yoga classes aim to promote relaxation and restoration for students of any age at any fitness level.
“Our mission is to bring yoga to as many people who want to practice it,” Manfredi says, adding that dedicated yogis can graduate from student to teacher through Charm City’s training program. “Our philosophy emphasizes that each teacher at the studio is teaching the part of yoga they are most passionate about.”
As part of its launch in Columbia, the company is offering special promotions for new members, including unlimited sessions for the first month for $30. Open enrollment “community” classes are regularly offered for $6 a session.
