Pair to serve 20 years in string of Howard Co. burglaries

Two men charged in connection with a string of daytime burglaries that occurred across the county last March were sentenced to serve 20 years in prison in Howard County Circuit Court last week.

Christopher Michael Kelly, 40, of the 10700 block of Green Mountain Circle in Columbia, and Luther Danny Davidson, 29, of the 12500 block of Frederick Road in West Friendship, were sentenced on Thursday, Jan. 9.

According to State's Attorney spokesman Wayne Kirwan, both Kelly and Davidson, who are prior convicted felons, were convicted of first-degree burglary and a gun charge.

Kelly and Davidson were arrested in Ellicott City in March 2013 after police linked their vehicle to a daytime burglary. The burglary was one in a string that occurred between January and March of last year in Ellicott City, Elkridge, Marriottsville, Clarksville and Sykesville,
