Sheep and Wool Festival returns to Howard fairgrounds

The 40th annual Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival will be at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5.

Festival hours are 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday.

The festival features more than 260 vendors selling wool and sheep-related items along with sheep and sheep dog demonstrations, and demonstrations of shearing, carding, spinning and weaving wool.

According to the festival’s Facebook page, it is one of the largest festivals of its kind.
